Mothers and Music – A guide to touring, recording and making it all work with children in the music industry on and off the road.

There will be two different times for this online workshop so feel free to choose the one that works best for your schedule:

Tuesday April 28th – 6pm PST
Thursday April 30th – 12pm PST

Please join The Good Lovelies (Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough & Susan Passmore) in a 2hr digital open forum about the joys and challenges of music & motherhood. Over the course of this online workshop, Caroline, Kerri & Sue will share their extensive experiences touring with babies and young children, both as parents and as caregivers (not all the Lovelies have children!). They will discuss the challenges faced by many touring parents (for when we can all tour again!) Topics will include: the logistics and financials of bringing kids on tour; how to prepare promoters for having kids backstage; the highlights of bringing your kids on tour; and what happens when you need to tour without your kids. There will also be discussion around the shift of work-life balance as a parent in music; building a support network within the music business; and carving out time for personal creativity.

This workshop will include an extensive Q&A session, so please bring your questions! Networking among peers will also be encourage, as we strive to help each other find solutions that make music & parenthood more sustainable in every way.

Space is limited to ensure quality discussion – so sign up early!
